Project To Surface fails on the inside surface of a cone

Please see attached F3D.
A cone (surface) and 2 sketches perpendicular to the axis of the cone. One sketch plane is towards the cone apex, the other on the base. Each sketch contains one spline.

An additional sketch attempts to contain the projected splines on the cone using "Project To Surface" (4th entry in project sub-menu) along a vector (the cone axis).

The "purple" resulting projection of the base spline is incorrect, while the "red" preview was correct.
The projection of the apex spline seems correct (but it generates a yellow warning feature on the timeline).
So, projecting from the inside of a cone fails, while projecting from the outside succeeds partially.

Looks like a bug to me. Or maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Thank you for looking this.

Can you proceed with your design or do you need help in form of a work-around ?
