Same thing happened to me yesterday. I rebooted my machine, opened F360 it was still empty. Went back to my home folder then back to the project folder a couple times and then finally it reappeard. I'd try those things while you are waiting for support to get back to you.
Welcome to the community! I'm sorry to hear about this issue!
Can you post a copy of the diagnostic log files from Fusion 360 to this thread? Also, can you share the name of the design and the name of the project it should be stored in?
There are some suggestion in the below URL that you may find helpful.
Thanks,
I have had this same sort of thing happen on several occasions. I am currently working with a Support person to try to figure out what is going on. I do understand that if you are working with a Timeline (parametric modeling) structure, you can try "Compute All" and that is effective in restoring the model file. I am working in Direct Modeling mode, though, so my issues so far seem to be a bit more mysterious.
Hello,
Find attached a copy of the diagnosic log files "Fusion360DiagnosticLogs".
I tried the things appeared on the link attached to your answer and none of them seems to work for me. The project was called "proyecto final de carrera" and it has three folders with some designs each folder. The folders names are "acople", "bomba" and "montaje".
Thank you for your help
I wait for your answer
Same here. The project I've been working on is gone. Not only the project disapeared, I cannot open anything else. This happened after "updating" the software today. Whenever I try to open "any" project, I get this error:
Ok, after rebooting everyting, I can now load older projects but the project I've been working on is still MIA. The error above gave me a clue where to look. I can see the project saved there but it is not listed within Fusion. How do I open it given that there is no "File/Open"? (this whole "cloud" thing is a major PITA):
Thanks for the diagnostic log files. We will take a look at them.
I just want to make sure that the active project hasn't changed in the data panel. Are you in the My Recent Data by any chance? If so, you can navigate to a project by selecting the back arrow in the data panel.
This should reveal a list of projects.
Also, I want to make sure that you have check the A360 Dashboard for the project. If you select the name of a project in the Data Panel:
It will open a webbrowser (Autodesk 360 Dashboard) where you will have visiblity into your hub.
You can use the breadcrumb to navigate back to Home
Filter on ALL project to view all the project that you have access to.
Do you happen to see the project in the dashboard or the data panel at all?
Thanks,
I also want to clarify some nomenclature to keep confusion to a minimum.. A design is something you store in a Project inside of your A360 hub. Designs and Projects are not the same. You can export a design or transfer design between projects. I hope that makes sense.
@gus.grubba You can use the Upload command in the Data Panel to upload those design. IF at all possible, can you also share a copy of your diagnostic log files and let us know which design disappeared? It may also help to know which project they were saved in.
Yep, I figured uploading the design would be the answer as for some weird reason, Fusion can't deal with local storage. Either way, in the end it's all back after rebooting everything.
I've generated a diagnostics archive and I noticed it contains way too much information. Instead, here are the actual log files within:
The first in the list was a normal start/end session before any of this.
The second was my latest working session. That session ended up crashing while working on a Passes panel for a 2D Countour CAM operation (unchecking the Feed Optimization caused the whole dialog to go blank and the entire program became unreponsive. I cannot reproduce the problem so I'm not bothering with a bug report until I get some reproducible case).
The third log in the list is the session immediately following the crash. The first thing I noticed was that the design I was working on was not listed in the project and/or Recent list. I noticed the "Downloading Update" popup and once that was done I restarted the session.
The fourth log is when booting the update for the first time. The design was still missing and I could not load anything else.
At this point I rebooted everything (the computer has been running for days and I usually have Fusion open and running for days as well).
The fifth and last log is the last session. Now I can open anything and the missing design is listed.
@Anonymous One recommendation I've come across is to restart the computer. Can you try this also and let us know if it helps?
@gus.grubba There are some local translators available in the New Design from File command that do not require an upload. You may be able to uplaod this way as well.
Thanks for following up with us to let us know what worked for you!
Hi j.pla,
I did some exploration on the servers and in your logs, it appears that the user account you are using at the moment may not be the user who worked on the "proyecto final de carrera" project. Is it possible that you have used Fusion with multiple user accounts ?

Are there any other e-mail addresses that you could have used? You may be able locate a welcome to fusion 360 style e-mail in a different email inbox if you created a different account. Could be a clue to help you figure out if you logged in with another email address.
Can you private message me any e-mail addresses you may have used (even by mistake)? These may help me to locate an account.
Thanks,
