Problems with Simulations to 3D Print

Hi, please can you help? I have a group of sixth former who have done simulation studies and changed their 3D models as a result (shape optimisation). We now want to 3D print but are having issues. Students are exporting their new simulated model as an .stl file but when it's loaded to the 3D printing software, it is 'filling in' sections of the model that are voids in the original model. It's odd because some student's work is transferred across without problems.

Please see the photos attached of a failed and worked example.

Thanks, Lisa

Worked examples - and we don't know why some are working some aren't.

@james_l

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file(s) to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Attach the resulting *.stl file(s) to for diagnosis.
