Problems making drawing of imported FBX file

Hi.

I have imported 3d map data (in fbx format) from a property where i want to design a boat house. When I am finished with the design I want to make a drawing in 2d out of it, but I tried to go from design to drawing in Fusion and it does not work. See attached picture and 3d model.  I see that the warning says "no solid bodies or sketches". Is there a way of converting to solid bodies and sketches? And are FBX the best format when I do not have access to other software then Fusion or Inventor?

Hi @lhaahjem ,

Your design does not have solid bodies, it has Surface and Mesh bodies.

How did you got this fbx file, From which software you have created this file?
If possible please export using step format and try to create a new drawing.

Hi.

I downloaded it from a supplier of 3d maps. These are the formats that I can choose from:

3DS

3DPDF

CityGML

Collada

DWG/DXF

FBX

FMEAR

gITF

IFC

KML/KMZ

LandXML

SKETCHUP

STL

Wavefront

TXT

I guess many of these formats are best to open in an arcitechture program such as BIM360 or Revit etc., but I was hoping to edit my boathouse in to one of these formats in Fusion 360, Inventor which is available software through my job (or import and convert to other format in fusion or Inventor). I tried to import STL in fusion, but that did not work.
