Hi,

I want to eliminate the bottom part of a model. I'm using the Combine Cut function without success. Can anyone help me. I'm a new user. I'm including my model.

Best regards.

I recommend that you fully constrain each and every sketch.

Back in a minute...

I would simplify sketch and use Shell instead...

Did you really really want this to be non-uniform thickness?

Forget you ever saw the Move command - if you feel the urge to use it - STOP and ask questions here.

Edit Sketch1 in the Attached file.

What color are the lines? Blue or black?

Turn on Analysis>Section1.

Is the part uniform thickness?  Even in the filleted corners?

On my file, or on your file?

Blue lines should keep you awake at night.

I suspect that you will have a lot more questions on this design.

(I haven't even figured out what it is yet.)

Don't get completely lost in a deep hole before asking additional questions.

Hi,

The part is a lamp-shade, I have to get rid of the skin at the base of the part. I've tried with Combine-Cut without success. Do you have another approach?

Best regards.

Shell and

select the faces you don’t want, before the OK button.

Might help....

Yikes!  You should have stated that up front.

That makes the job about 10 times easier (See Attached).

As you said, very simple indeed.

Thanks for tour help. That's what I call a fast tutorial.

Best regards.
