Potential configuration repair bug

I have a component with 6 configurations. When inserting it into another assembly I get this:

If I open the configuration I get this:

After hitting the save button and attempting to import it into the assembly again I get this:

It appears that whatever repair the system applies breaks the configurations that are working before the repair as repairing A breaks B to F again as well.

Any suggestions?

Hi @Robert-FreEnergy

The repair mechanism was put in place to fix up any potential issues saving configurations.  But repairing one should not break another directly.  It might be a coincidence.  I suspect there is something else going on.  Could you please provide your logs using instructions provided here.  That will help us diagnose the issue.  Sorry about the issues you are running into.

Thanks

Gautham

Hi Gautham, thanks for replying, I've just been in to try to replicate the error for the logs and it seems to have sorted itself out. Not certain what it was that fixed it....

If it happens again I will make sure to grab the logs and post them here for you.

Thanks again

@Robert-FreEnergy , the problems you were seeing are related to some jobs that run on the cloud.  There might have been some intermittent/random problem at the time you first had the problem.  That explains why you are not seeing it anymore.

I imported your file into an internal build and i saw a prompt that 5 of the configurations needed to be repaired the first time I opened the file.  After this, the problem did not happen again.

If you see the issue rearing its head again, please do send us the log files.

Thank you!

Gautham
