Hi @Anonymous,

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with the NUM post processor! Can you please give a little more information about what's happening to help us pinpoint the issue?

  • What exactly is not working? For example, are you getting an error when you try to post, or is there an error when you try to run your posted code on your machine?
  • Can you please post the f3d of your design as well as the GCode you've generated (if any) so I can take a closer look? (Here are instructions on how to export an f3d if you need them)
  • Were any modifications made to the NUM post processor?
  • Do you remember when you downloaded the post processor?

Thanks!

Hi!I've been using the Fanuc post processor without problems.I've bought an old CNC lathe with a NUM 1060 controller and I'm trying to use it.It's the first time I've tried another post processor and as soon as I try tu post the Gcodes, an error window opens up and it fails.See attached screenshot! Thanks.
Sorry, it's in french!

Ok, thanks for the extra info! (and no problem with the French- I'm a whiz at Google Translate)

I'll need to check out your toolpaths and try some testing to see exactly what's going wrong with the NUM post translating them- can you please share your design? This article has information on how to do this, but let me know if you need a hand with the instructions.

The post processor works fine for milling but not for turning parts (lathe) in fact.

Ok! That explains the errors you've been getting - the NUM post isn't working for turning toolpaths because it's a milling only post, not a mill/turn post.

If you want it to include turning you can ask for help modifying the post in the post processor forum, or you can go to a reseller that offers post customization. There are also some good resources in this list if you want to give it a shot yourself.

Hello @Anonymous

If you are still interested bya NUM turning post:

We have created a NUM turning post. It's actually in beta state.

https://cam.autodesk.com/posts?p=num_turning

So, test it and use it with caution.
Check the output and run with reduced rapid feed for testing.
Don't hesitate to provide feedback for improving the post.

Regards
