Possible to Snap to points on another Sketch (without using Project)?

Would be extremely helpful if I could use another visible sketch as a snap-to reference point in my current sketch, without having to project the geometry from that sketch.  It would really speed up my workflow to be able to quickly draw in this way.

Is there a way to do this?  A setting I'm not aware of perhaps?

Are you speaking to Fusion’s Drawings or Sketches.

There is a Preference Setting to Project on Reference, to try / assess for 2d sketches.

3d sketching - it is automatic.

Drawings - no comment.

Might help....

Well I feel dumb.  I meant to say "sketch" not drawing.  I have edited the post accordingly.

What does "try/assess for 2d sketches" mean?

Where is this setting?  I have enabled "Auto project geometry on active sketch plane" but it doesn't do what I want.  Which, specifically, is to be able to draw a line that snaps to the geometry on another sketch, without projecting that sketch.

Here is the setting @davebYYPCU is referring to.  You probably want to turn off the Auto Project Geometry on Active Sketch Plane, it can cause a mess.

As  follow-up, I want to mention that if you happen to be one of those individuals that often sketches in a 3D view, this Project of Reference will not work.  In the short animated GIF, I have the Preference setting on and I am sketching a line in a 3D view, the point on the block is not identified.  As soon as I go to the sketch view, it works like a charm.
