Poor Performance on 2020 16" MacBook Pro - Minimum specs for best performance?

Oops. Not sure how I hit the Post button so fast... Sorry.

In reading the minimum requirements to run F360 it seemed it would be OK. But actual performance is terrible. For example when orbiting the model you can't see it in real time and can't control where to stop. And the alert pops-up saying the graphics card isn't optimal.

This is the current base model 2020 16" MacBook Pro. Specs are i7 6-Core, 16GB Ram, AMD Radeon Pro 5300M 4GB and 500GB SSD.

I can return this but don't know what I should upgrade. I'm assuming it's just the Graphics Card, which the options are: AMD Radeon Pro 5500M with either 4 or 8 GB of GDDR6 memory or AMD Radeon Pro 5600M with 8GB of HBM2 memory (But this is $700 more!) Or should I upgrade RAM or Processor as well?

Thank you for your help!

Unless you meant to attach an empty file, no 😉

In general Fusion 360 should run perfectly fine on that computer. I run Fusion 360 on a 2017 15" MacBook Pro and don't encounter any of the issues you describe.

I run fusion with a 2018 15” Pro and your graphics card should handle orbiting without issues.

Take a look at automatic graphics switching setting under battery and see if it’s better! Sounds like your MBP is defaulting to the power saving alternative graphics.
