Points wont snap to grid if placed on a line

When drawing lines in a sketch they don't snap to grid if placed over a line, and instead snap freely to the line. Is there a way to snap to the grid instead of the line?

Remove the line, or better,

remove the grid.

Might help...

Well that doesn't help as I want to keep the line and instead snap to grid, not the line. I still need the grid and the line.

The line is in the sketch and has snap priority over the grid.

The grid is a visual reference and only useful if you don't understand sketches.

Add the point, dimension it to the sketch origin, to know where they are and they won't move, without editing the dimension.

Might help...

Hi,

Lines are committed to the design and not to the grid.

Forget the grid.

Use the Origin and dimension - just like setting up a machine in the real world.
