plus sign in disguise in parameters

A design choice that I can't get my head around in parameters; the plus sign for adding parameters darker grey. The bar is also darker grey. (a slight different hint). Making the + sign the chameleon of the show.

Hi,

The Plus sign can be identified and clicked without any problems.
From this side I see no reason to change anything.

Did you even took the time to look at the screenshots? And what part of it do you label 'identified without any problems'? I still have got a good vision (knock on wood), but the dark grey selection field and the mildly darker grey + button appear to blend in perfectly.  Please have a look at the one labeled 08.18.14 and tell me with the same confidence that you can identify it without any problems.

Hi,

For me, the perception on my display is essential.

Odd, Perhaps your screen isn't calibrated? There is almost no contrast between the background and the icon you need to click. There are some mandatory rules to follow on a UI, and this is one to avoid.

I don't call this a proper distinguished contrast;

@to3dornottobe can you elaborate on what the purpose of your post is?

If you came here to pick a fight, then that is a waste of time.

This darker grey in lighter gray UI theme and absence of color for example is also apparent in the browser. It is a deliberate design choice by Autodesk that I also strongly disagree with. We've argued this on the Expert Elite slack channel as well and unfortunately have lost that battle.

So it seems we are in the same fightclub then.

I am here to ventilate what utter absurd idea it is to make this poor contrast in a UI. If the plan was to confuse me, go ahead. It would have made a great april 1st joke..

I thought it was a silly mistake, but if it's 'by design' then a person has to admit that it was wrong making a decision like this.

It's part of a UI. I can't believe the lack on insight a person must have to make a decision like this.

First I think you're using a mac?

On a PC I see this.

Or highlighted this. Not sure if different desktop colours would make a difference.

That is perfect and acceptable. On my mac i see what i posted previously. (in both dark and light mode).

On windows the selected field gets a blue hue, and on a mac it is a dark grey hue.

@to3dornottobe  Aren't the three dots normally coloured on a mac, what colour scheme are you using?

This is with accent color blue, marking color orange and a light scheme;

The dark grey hue remains active.

I think @TrippyLighting  uses a mac, are you seeing the same?

PS. @to3dornottobe Can you please paste images into your messages. Attached images are a pain to view on this forum and might be why you didn't get a lot of interest in your original post.

While I work on a new Windows machine most of the time these days (needed more horsepower for otehr 3D applications) this is how it looks on my MacBook :

And could you please select the field 'User parameters' like i did in my screenshots? (it goes back to the 'user parameter' every time you have added a parameter. And that causes the plus sign to magically go up in a big cloud of grey.

And what do you see if you select 'user parameters'? I'm on 12.4.

And now all of a sudden the accent color is showing up as expected in Fusion too.. It was dark grey all along (while being set to either blue or orange) but it miraculously turned into the system settings.. (screenshot was made this afternoon of the grey tone, while the system marking color was set to orange). Now it is working like i expect it to work.. Can't compute..
