I'm sick of having to re-add Fusion to the Dock every time it updates (see attached pic). I'm sick of having to stumble around trying to find which gibberish-named version folder my custom thread files or posts are in. I'm sick of not being able to put the Fusion 360 app in a subfolder of my Applications folder with the rest of my design apps.

Please. PLEASE. There's no reason for Fusion to be installed like this. NO OTHER macOS app does this. Not Adobe CC, not Office, not anything. This is the only app I've ever had these problems with, and it's incredibly frustrating.

This isn't acceptable, Autodesk. An application getting lost on update is simply not acceptable. I have never even seen that icon before, because this is not how macOS apps work.

This happened when the app crashed just before or during an automatic update, and since Fusion crashes frequently, this is a likely eventuality that needs to be addressed.

It also happens when there is no crash during update, but since updates often cause the app to crash (I assume due to parts of it being moved into the new version folder in your insane versioning folder system within the app bundle), it is difficult to actually give meaningful feedback.
