Pattern Along Path - Invalid Float Operation

Hello, I'm new to the program, so I'm not sure if I'm missing something here, but the error message I get when I try to use the Pattern On Path operation is very vague and searching for it doesn't help at all.
See the attached screencast for details.

I'm trying to repeat a pattern of holes across an entire visor model. I created the first hole, and attempt to repeat it horizontally across the base of the visor with the Pattern On Path function. I:
Set the object as a cut hole
Set the path to be the base edge of the model
Set the distance to be the entire length of the path
Make sure start point is 0
Set the orientation to 'Path Direction' (not shown in screencast, but I've tried both; errors both times)
Set the quantity to '320'
Hit 'OK'

And each and every time I get 'Invalid Float Point Operation'.
I tried digging through the logs when I was looking at this yesterday, and at a couple of points, I found "Critical Bug, report to Ivory Team" or something like that. I'll have to see if I can locate that log file again.

Anyone see anything I'm doing wrong? Any suggestions?

Thank you.

I have answered my own question. I guess my distance was set too high. Certainly the pattern would not have repeated past the model, but it was maybe longer than the path? I'm not too sure.
When I set my distance about 1mm less and hit 'OK' it repeated the extrudes successfully after a couple of minutes, so I guess that was it.
Unfortunately the error message was so unhelpful that I had no idea that was the issue.
At the very least maybe this post will help someone in the future, and save someone the time that I spent trying to figure it out.

Now to see if I can use Pattern On Path with an already created pattern as the object!
