Pasted text in search box appearing twice

Noticed a new problem, when pasting text into the search box in the browser, the text now appears twice, one after the other, with no space between. Makes it very hard to find components as I have to manually delete the second copy of the text

I am using command V keyboard short cut, and I am not pressing the key twice

If I right click and click paste, nothing happens at all. 

Please fix!

Hi @peteGCAB6, at a glance I am not able to reproduce this behavior. Can you tell me more about this workflow and your device?

• What is the model/generation of your Mac and which version of macOS is installed?
• Does this happen when copying text from anywhere else? e.g. text editor, web browser, Finder, etc.
• Any notable hardware such as a DisplayLink dock or KVM switch

Hi Lance,

- 2018 Macbook pro 15 inch touchbar, macos 10.14.6

- It may not do it from everywhere, but for example, it does copy in twice from google docs or sheets, from Apple pages and numbers, iMessage, whatsapp desktop, pasting from a web browser. I have been unable to find any source of text that does paste properly, rather than twice. 

- No unusual hardware, using the laptops own keyboard and trackpad, the only external hardware is a second monitor.
