Paste New in Manufacturing Model

Hello,

I want to create a non-dependent copy of a component in a manufacturing model. When I copy and "paste new", I don't get another component, just the move dialog for the original component. See video.

Thanks for any help! and thanks for the amazing tool!

I am not sure why you want to do this operation in the Manufacturing Environment but...  You issue is caused because you are not selecting the actual component, you are selecting the assembly icon.  Take a look at the screencast.

Thank you for the reply, very helpful. As for the "why", well I was just trying to work around another issue which I will post later, involving moving bodies after using the layout feature. I did some testing after looking at your video and it seems something is goofed with my file, as it works as expected in a new file. I have attached the two files in case anyone else sees this.

I have gotten past the initial reason I wanted to do this first place, so all is well that ends well.
