Panning constantly on

Sometimes when I pan using the touch pad on my M1 MBP, it stays in panning mode even after releasing the shift key. Sometimes I am able to get it working again just by clicking around a lot but most of the time that doesn't help either and I have to restart Fusion 360.

Every navigation mode for trackpad uses two fingers only for panning.

Ah sorry I meant orbiting is constantly on when this bug happens. Im not a native english speaker.

When this bug happens, the view orbits with every move of the mouse. So only one finger on the trackpad and no key pressed.

We are currently working on an improved trackpad experience that should eliminate problems like this. When it's ready to release for customers we'll let everyone know via the What's New post. Thanks for your patience.

There is a new trackpad experience available in the Fusion Insider build that was just released.

What is Fusion Insider?

As a Fusion 360 Insider, you will have early access to next production version of Fusion 360, several weeks before it is released to the general public. Along with getting early access, you will also be able to:

  • Get your hands on new features, before everyone else

You’ll be the first to get what’s coming in next product update: new tech, improvements, and fixes. Test workflows and catch issues before it reaches everyone else.

  • Know in real-time when updates are happening, what’s new, and what’s coming

Know, in real-time, when we are deploying an update and what’s coming in the next one, straight from the development team.

  • Gain exclusive access to the Insiders Lounge

As a member, you’ll have access to our private Insider Lounge, where you can engage with other Insiders as well as Autodeskers.

To join Fusion Insider: https://feedback.autodesk.com/key/Fusion360Insider

To use the new trackpad experience:

1. Open preferences

2. Preview Features

3. Search for Native Trackpad

4. Enable it and restart Fusion 360

Please use the Fusion Insider feedback forum to report your findings! (good or bad)
