Overconstrained Sketch error when sketch is not constrained

My sketch is not fully constrained, but the "adding this dimension will over-constrain the sketch" error is returned when I try to add a dimension.  I looked up this issue on the support forums and one of the support personnel encouraged people to share when this sort of thing happens so that the solver can be improved.  So here it is!  Log file is attached.

hmm, it seemed to work for me.  Am I selecting some different geometry?

Hmmm, it's working for me now as well.  That's a real head scratcher for me, as my above screenshot clearly shows me trying to dimension that same geometry.  I don't think that I'm doing anything differently now in order to make it work now, but it seems fine.  Sorry to waste your time, but thanks for the help!

If this were my design - I would have a greatly simplified sketch (see Attached).
