Other components become invisible when editing a sketch

Let's say we have 3 components under the top component, called C1\C2\C3, and they are created one after another.

I found that when I'm editing the sketch of C2, the C3 node disappears from the browser tree, and if I'm editing the sketch of C1, both C2\C3 nodes disappear.

I want to reference a dimension from the disappeared components, but they are hidden, I cannot select the elements from them.

Why it acts like this? How to configure to show the hidden components when I'm in sketch editing mode?

Please watch the demo screen cast below to understand the appearance. (7MB gif, maybe need some time to load)

This is what having Timeline means. If you edit a feature generated previously you are time traveling back to the time it was created. It is not being hidden, but rolled back in time.

Hi,

This is controlled by the "show active component only" setting (gear at the bottom right).

On my version of fusion 360, there is no "show active component only" setting on gear menu at the bottom right.
I tried "Hide all inactive features" check box, but it's not working.
app version: 2.0.12392

Hi,

After reading again (more carefully), I agree with @hamid.sh.
You can only reference to features that already exist.
In your case, you could move the components you want to use as reference to the front of the timeline. But this only works if it is not prevented by other references.
