Orbit Bug?

So Orbit has been vary finicky. I cant stand Constrained orbit, so I am always using the Free orbit function, but when I go into and out of sketches, the orbit seem to switch to Constrained orbit even though it still displays free orbit. Now, to get it back to the free orbit, I have to click on constrained orbit, left click the screen and then hold down shift and mouse wheel to use. Then I have to go back to free orbit and do the same thing to get back into the free orbit environment. This is super  annoying and I am hoping there is a fix, or possibly this is a bug.

Thanks

Have your visited your Fusion Preferences and set them up.  Particularly the one marked in the screen capture below.  If you do not know how to get to your Preferences, select the drop down arrow beside your Fusion 360 log-in name.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes I have the Free Orbit set in my preferences.

I'm almost positive its a bug, cause it seems to only happen on certain projects. Plus I keep getting some weird buggy stuff in this one project, like 3D rails not snapping to the constrained selection. 3D rails become a loop after I exit the sketch environment, etc. I know rails are finicky beasts, but I feel like I sometimes have to draw rails like 4 times, and then magically they seem to work.

Hi beboyesen, I believe we're experiencing the bug, it's been there for years...having to go back to Constrained Orbit to "shake things loose" before Free Orbiting again. I've posted about it here, there's one more workaround that you can use:

Good thing there's a bug number to it now.

Hope this helps,

Eric
