Orbit anchor in sketch vs model

I use a 3d mouse and when operating outside of a sketch the orbit anchor is automatically selected quite intuitively by fusion, kinda like snapping works however when I'm in a sketch the orbit is always constrained to the origin of the sketch. Is this a bug or is there a way to make this work better?

It happens to me also. I didn't think it is a bug. Got used to it. But after your question, I'm worried.

Bump.

Can anyone shed light on this behavior? Why the anchor point in sketches is not automatically selected in an intuitive way?
