Offsetting projected sketch lines

I project my sketches a lot and create offsets on the projected sketch.  To create an offset I have to select each sketch line separately. I would like to be able to double click to select all connected lines.  Am I missing something or could I request this feature somewhere? Thanks

Offset has a chain option.

Thanks, but that doesn't seem to work on projected lines

They are projected lines in my example so not sure why it's not working for you. Can you share the design? Export as a f3d and attach. One thought is have you got auto project enabled? And please don't attach pictures, you can just paste from the clipboard or use the photo option from the toolbar.

Thanks Mark

I did have auto project switched on in settings but turning it off doesn't seem to have helped. Please see attached f3d file. Thanks so much for your help, I will paste images in future.

OK something strange there. @jeff_strater  can you take a look. What I found is if I extrude sketch1 then project the surface the projected outline will chain but a projection from the sketch will not. I guess this is because the modeling kernel is more accurate than the sketch solver and the fillets projected from the sketch are losing accuracy? Maybe if sketch1 was fully defined with dimensions it might work better?

Here's a screencast showing the difference.

Thank you, that gives me a workaround at least.

@jeff_strater  After a bit more experimenting I'd say there's a bug in projected sketches. Seems like even a simple rectangle projected from one sketch into another will not chain either! I have come across this before but not had time to figure out where the error was.

Thanks Mark

@HughesTooling - agreed, this should work.  Created FUS-82623 for this problem

Hi,

When projecting sketch elements, the contour breaks.
