Hi everyone,

I am trying to download fusion 360 for personal use and it's giving me hard time and lots of anger 🙂 already before even downloading it. please help:

after I create an autocar account, it asks me for my personal info, then I need to check that I agree to conditions etc and then click 'Next'

When I click on 'Next', simply nothing happens. Tried on safari (I have a mcbook) and google chrome. same same annoyance.

could anyone help ?

thanks

I just tested it with Firefox, on a Windows computer, worked perfectly.  Make sure you have pop-up blocks off.

I'm having the same problem. Are you sure you are understanding our problem John? Multiple users are having this problem, according to the forum, and most have tried it without popup blockers

I can assure you I am not pulling your leg, I have no issues applying for the Personal Fusion 360 License.  I created a Screencast showing the process, in it I stopped as I filling in my PERSONAL information and resumed as soon as I hit the NEXT icon.  I am using Firefox Browser on a Windows 10 computer.

Hi John, nice for you that the next button is working. I tryed Firefox, Edge, Chrome all without addblockers, etc. The next button isn't working!

I tried again John, first with no luck. I'm using edge, with no extensions (I have tried other browsers and machines before). I then tried logging in with a VPN with location in the US (I'm in Europe using the .com site because the site in my language is horrible). With the VPN on the next button worked! When I click download, I get "Something went wrong when creating your hobbyist license." as a response so I'm not in the clear yet, but it's closer. It says it may take 30 minutes for the update to take effect, so I'll try again later. It seems clear there's something wrong though.

Hi John,

Thanks for answering the same questions a year later. pop-ups are allowed and I just tried again on Google Chrome and Safari and hitting 'Next' does nothing.

I happen to have a mc though. It's not possible for me to get a windows computer. Is it that 'Next' doesn't work on apple computers then ?

Others also keep reporting the same issue. Any idea to why it worked perfectly on your side, but not on ours ?

At the end, I am happy I didn't buy anything. So I can just skip Fusion 360 altogether. But if you could help, that would still be great.

I'm on windows, and also having problems, so it's not that you're on mac. I've registered before, but my one year license has to be renewed. Now I'm just not able to. As I mentioned I got one step closer after using a VPN, but I have no idea if that is what made the difference.

Having same problems here in the UK, fill everything out hit "NEXT" and nothing! This is the same in Chrome and Edge. Will give VPN a try but shouldn't have to.

After using VPN set to USA and filling in form with all my UK info I was able to download and install the "Personal - Not for Commercial Use" version.

Now to start using it.

Use VPN (simple vpn as opera's build in, works fine), select USA-america, then sign in again, do the same steps and should work. For me at least it works (Greece-Europe)

Hi all,

We are investigating what may be going on in the Personal sign up form that is causing this. In the meantime, if you are trying to sign up or renew and need access, please email me at james.youmatz@autodesk.com and provide the email address that you use for your Autodesk Account. I will manually grant the personal license while we investigate.

Thank you all for your patience!

John I am attempting to go from the monthly paid subscription to the personal use format, as I am not using Fusion but I wish to learn it because a machinist has asked me some questions concerning it and setting it up for his CNC.

I did exactly as your screencast showed and I did get to the download screen.  I clicked the download button and it generated a download executable file.  I clicked to run the file and it says I already have the current version installed.

How can I tell if I am still on the last two days of my subscription or if I am now on the personal use free version?

Thank you for your assistance.
