Noob needing help with modelling a signet ring

I need some help getting the geometry right on this signet ring.

I need the band to be one fluid piece that connects into the top section.

Can someone please come to the rescue!

Thanks,

Talha Hasan

What I would do.

Change sizes and shape to suit the innocent.

Thanks Dave,

I am having some problems where there is a seam down the shaft of the ring after mirroring, i cant see it on your model and I wonder if I am doing something wrong.

Couple of things,

The 2 creases in the front face are from those two rails.  I only had 3 rails total, if I remember correctly.  Each on the Origin Planes. For the flat faces at the mirrors.

You are trying to get too much done at once, or not the same order of operations, I Lofted the filleted 1/4 “Rectangle” on top, (was 2 lines and a Spline to avoid your sharp corner) to a 1/4 slot, across the centre line, so that an Extruded front quadrant circle provided the outside edge for the Sweep. It’s called overbuilding, to provide the geometry for next step.

Might help....
