Upon inserting mesh (any STL) it imports pink. When selecting it turns blue.

When looking to convert, that option only shows up under Modify if I turn off capture despite what a video shows done in July 21. See video in this entry: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-support/inserted-stl-file-trying-to-convert-to-brep-doesn-...

Is there a current reference on this site that gives clear instructions for doing this procedure that gets updated every time the program changes things?

Where can I find the current interpretation of object colors on this site.

Please attach the STL file you are trying to work with.  You may need to zip it before attaching it.

Attached is a Screencast converting a simple mesh body to a Brep Solid.  You do not have to turn of Capture Design History to accomplish the process.  I would encourage you to attach your STL so one of the Forum users can work with your file directly.  The colors, after you Generate Face Groups represent the separate face groups.

Hey JHackney1972

The video you attached is exactly the one that I referenced in my message to
you.

The problem turned out to be that I was in the solid menu when importing and
attempting to convert. As I'm an occasional user the subtle movements of the
details of the menus from version to version makes for getting lost easy.

The video doesn't specify what main menu to be in explicitly. although it's
plain as day on the screen in the cacophony of the simple as a complex
program menu system can be.

I made the assumption the video was made with an earlier version.

Thanks for your help.
