No shapes are seen in drawing

I am trying create a drawing, I have placed all the views but all I get is a white sheet with just a little bit of font showing on the title block.  I am not sure what is going on, I am using the browser version, and all of my students are having the same problem.  Any help you could provide would be greatly apprecaited.

Thanks,

Kyle

@jhackney1972  Unfortunately that will not help with the browser version. @ClintBrown3D can you help with this?

I experimented a bit and found enabling line width display helps but still not really usable and depends on zoom level.

Hi @kstandish12

I'm sorry you have been affected by this issue.

I let the education team know about the problem as soon as you posted this on the forum, they are on the case.

It could take a little while to resolve. The instances on the cloud are running on Windows and have also been affected by Windows updates rolling back AMD graphics drivers. Hopefully there will be a fix soon.

Just wanted to say I'm very interested in seeing this problem fixed.  Students are trying to do work from home on their Chromebooks because of COVID protocols and they can't complete assignments that include making multi-view drawings.

Hi @gunnp3DS89

While your students are waiting for this to be resolved, there is a workaround, it's not ideal, but it will mean that basic drawings can be created. This is based on @HughesTooling's suggestion to adjust the line thickness.

Have a look at this video. Hopefully the education team will get the graphics issue sorted out soon.

Has there been an update to this issue? I am having issues with student drawing still and changing line thickness is making it challenging to see their drawings completely has lines are overlapping.

I'm also wondering if there is an update. We are experiencing the same issue.

Please consider communicating a timeline for when this will be resolved. Knowing how long this will be an issue is important for planning purposes.

Hi @Anonymous @ekernMQKLY @lhulne

cc @gmelantoni

Thanks for chasing this up, we understand the urgency and have been working hard to get this fixed. The team is currently testing a fix. I can't promise a release date, but this is a very positive step towards a resolution.

I hope we have good news soon!

Hi @Anonymous @lhulne @ekernMQKLY

It looks like some early updates have started rolling out. I've tested one of the instances that I have access to and I can now see all the drawing elements perfectly. Please can you have a look on your end and let us know if this is now working for you (it might take a while before the update is available to everyone)

It is looking better. I can see the drawing and the border title block now. So that is great!

The only thing is there are these wierd lines that apear all over the title block. Below is a screenshot from what I was able to put together this morning. I will continue to test out other items and make sure they work.

I am not sure if this was due to the update, but now the web browser will not take u the full screen and it says it's a graphics issue. Even though there were no updates to my computer.

I did roll back my graphics card to see if this would make a change and it did not

Hi @ekernMQKLY

Are you seeing these lines in the title block on every drawing, or just the one you have opened "Chase"?

If you create a new drawing, do the lines show up?

I have no problems in Chrome or Firefox

2021-10-29_14h01_44.png2021-10-29_14h00_27.png

I can go full-screen in both Chrome and Firefox via the browser menu in the top right-hand corner:

Does this method work for you? If that doesn't resolve the full-screen issue, it might be worth trying again in private mode. I see you have several add-ons running, this would help ensure that none of them are blocking you from full screen mode.

@dgreifWXS64 Please can you share a little more info with us. When you say "exact same thing", are you seeing the yellow graphics banner? Are you seeing lines in your tile block? Or both? Please share a screenshot.

Thank you for the follow-up on this @ClintBrown3D and team. I tried a quick multi-view with dimensions, text, and titleblock and everything displayed as expected for me. We will work with it a little more and check back in if we are having any further issues.

So, it looks as though it may only effect old models. I created a brand new model and then created a drawing with no trouble. No lines or weird things like that. So hopfully that is it!

Thank you so much!
