Very simple, I have no option called "save as stl", it just doesn't exist for me and I can't seem to find any solution to this problem

Hi @businessDKAVC

Thanks for the question. You can create/export an .stl by clicking file > export, then changing the "Type" from .f3d to .stl. Or (and usually quicker) by navigating to the Tools ribbon in the Design space and clicking the "make" button. From here click the body you wish to export as an .stl, set your options and click okay. Let me know how you get on.

Thanks,

Rob

The make option works, but not completely and I very much prefer to just be able to export components directly, that leaves me with the export option but that doesn't give me an STL format as an option. See image

Fyi this is the properties generated by fusion, I really don't care if it thinks it's metal or wood or even dirt, but maybe it helps finding the problem  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯:

I'm having the exact same problem. It just started out of nowhere. Did you ever find a solution?

"Save as .stl" was replaced with "save as mesh" with the recent update.

The reason is that this now allows to save more mesh formats than .stl.

"Save as STL" has been renamed to "Save As Mesh". It has the same functionality.

Thank you so much for the fast answer! It removed the save as stl option in between projects and I was like, what? Talk about a duh moment. Thanks again!
