No bend information when generating bend table in drawing

Im trying to make a work drawing for a sheet metal part thats part of a larger assembly. I can crate the drawing from the part and get the right base and auxillary views but im not able to generate a bend table. I get an error saying "The drawing doesn't contain bend information" and no table is generated.

You need to create a flat pattern of the sheet metal component. A bend table can then be created, to reference the flat pattern.

You need to create a Flat pattern on your sheet metal component. Then create Flat pattern view in your drawings.

I wasn't able to select flat pattern in the base view dialog. So i ended up activating the flat pattern in the assembly and creating the drawing from there. Then i could create the bend table and import the base and auxiliary views.
