Newer AMD Graphics drivers cause Fusion to hang at startup

I've been battling this issue for a few months now trying to resolve it.  Just to be clear I've been using Fusion for a number of years with latest graphics drivers. 

Now the only graphics drivers that I can get to work with Fusion are the ones Microsoft installs which are old (March of 2023).  I'm running dual AMD RX580 GPU's and the newer drivers perform much better than those old ones.  I'd really like to get back to being able to use the latest driver and Radeon software from AMD but am stuck at this point as to what the issues is.

The odd part is no games or other apps have issues when I install the latest drivers.  Only Fusion seems to not like them, just freezes when it starts to load GUI.  Seems to be some kind of compatibility issue between the two.

If anyone has any ideas on this it would be appreciated.

@tscheide , thank you for reporting! Here are few things that we need your help to diagnose the problem: 

• Install the latest Fusion 
• Run Fusion Graphics Diagnostics (from Help, Support and Diagnostics, Graphics Diagnostics, Copy to Clipboard) with the old driver if Fusion can't be launched with new driver, and share with us 
• Try to switch Fusion's Graphics driver from Preferences->General into DirectX11 or another one and then install the new driver to see if Fusion can startup normally

I tried switching to OpenGL and using new drivers and same problem exists at startup, just freezes.  The setting in preferences was Auto

After a ton of messing around and even re-installing Windows I finally got the drivers updated by using the slimmed down whql drivers that don't have the AMD Adrenalin software.  That got me the August 2024 version so over a year newer.  Downside is without AMD's Adrenalin software I can't apply per app/game settings, no virtual resolution or GPU over clocking.  It used to work with that installed, I had a profile configured for Fusion in the past but no idea why it causes it to hang now even with no profile enabled.

Are there any Fusion log files hiding somewhere I can look at to see any possible errors when the Adrenalin software is installed ?
