Need to change default CAM simulation values - crash every time on start

Hi All,

We have two PCs where Fusion crash when starting the toolpath simulation.

I have found that the problem comes from the wrong default simulation options

and values. (Eg. Tolerances = 0 ).

How we could be able to change the default values, and settings for CAM simulations?

Hi @CAMXPRESS

Thanks for posting.

Changing the stock tolerance value is easy. This parameter does not have to save as a user default feature as other parameters had in cam, instead of that last entered value will be remembered or stored for further simulation purposes.

In order to avoid Fusion crash during simulation, try the below two solutions,

1. Turn off Automatic In Process Stock calculation under Utilities.

2. Update the latest graphic driver. Click here to know more

FYI - The restore defaults under preferences will vanish all the preferred settings to original as per Fusion 360.

Hello Pramod,

Thank you for the tips, but this is not working in this situation.
I have Reset-ed Fusion with the Service Utility but the problem still exists.
(According to the description it removes all cached data also.)
I still working on it.

Thank you for your help!
Joe

Hi @CAMXPRESS

Could you try performing automatic clean uninstallation of Fusion 360? Click here to know more.

Thanks,

Pramod
