Navigation and View

Just installed Fusion. I don't like any of the Navigate and View settings (but that's not the point of this). What is "Other"? The control setup is the same as "New to CAD". Couldn't find anything online about the "Other" setting.

Also, if possible, how can I set the controls up like Maya? I'm used to the Maya environment and would love to change the orbit controls in Fusion to match Maya.

Hi @kirby1fan

Thanks for posting! You are correct - the "Other" and "New to CAD" CAD Experience options both give the default Fusion 360 zoom/pan/orbit commands. This is confusing - I would think the "Other" option would allow you to either create custom navigation commands or give more other softwares to mimic. Unfortunately it does not, and I have reached out to our Learning Experience team to see if we can change this to avoid confusion in the future.

Unfortunately, the only navigation controls available in Fusion are Fusion defaults, Alias, Inventor, and SolidWorks. There is currently no way to set up controls like in Maya, but a request to have the Maya controls brought into Fusion has been made at the Ideastation! Please give it a vote if you would like to see this option potentially included in a future update to Fusion.

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions - I am happy to help.

Now the navigation in the program is completely miserable and not convenient. We really hope you'll add navigation as in Maya
