Named Views show different views in Design and Render

In the video you can see my clicking though several Named views in Design and in Render modes. While in Design mode they show what I've saved in the views (via Update Named View menu in Render mode, with Perspective), in Render mode views are way too zoomed-in from what I've stored in them.

When I save a Named View in Render mode, it work correctly for some time, but then it changes to this zoomed-in view (I cannot reproduce it reliably, so cannot record this). It looks like FOV setting for a named view gets broken at some point, so it continues to work in orthographic Design mode, but gets weird in Render with perspective.

Named views depend on camera. They are correct if you are using the camera (ortho or perspective) that was being used when you create them.

So any view created using Ortho camera, will be completely different when seen under Perspective camera.

Rendering switches to perspective camera automatically.

To use named views for rendering:

1. Turn on perspective camera, or go to Render space.

2. Create named views

3. Name them so you know which is which, like "Persp. iso home view".

4. Use only the perspective cameras while in render space.

Thank you for response. I will try to adhere, but as I remember, I did exactly what you proposed: went to Render mode, set up camera (with perspective), saved Named View. I actually never used them in Design mode since I only needed them for rendering and never updated them from design mode. The problem is, they (their FOV) just get broken after some time. It might be after close/open or after I change the model or save new version of file, or switch to another file; I did not manage to reproduce it.

Ok, I've stmbled upon this problem once again, in most recent version. It is probably related to switching between PCs. I edited a file on one PC (probably made a render or two using Named Views), then opened on another PC, and named views are broken as described above (the position seems the same but zoom is way too big, I only see a small portion of original view)

And I never create named views from design perspective, only in render, since I only use them in render.

Do the two machines have very different screen resolution? i.e. one of them is 1920x1080 and the other is 4k?

Well, not really. One is 1680x1050, other 1920x1080

Did you ever find a solution for this? I'm running into the same issue with the latest version. Haven't switched PC's or screen resolution, was working fine yesterday & then today all named views are very zoomed in when selected in the Render space.

My quick solution to get the correct view is going back into the Design workspace and clicking the view from there, then returning to the Render workspace. Not ideal but it works I suppose. Maybe this will help someone having the same issue.

Hi. No, I haven't found a solution and I've just stumbled upon this error again (haven't used Fusion for a while). Your workaround does work, thank you very much!
