Hello, i'm new to Fusion 360. i'm taking a class to learn the app and i'm on a Macbook pro 16" m1 max running os 12.2.1.

when i first open/launch Fusion i get about 12-15 errors they will not stop unless i send report which i do. they do stop for a bit until i start working in Fusion 360. the errors do not seem to occur with the same tasks other than on start up.

any help would be appreciated. thank

mike

@mhowey9532V7EL4 @Do you have any other Autodesk product especially AutoCAD? This could be a single single on issue that you are seeing.

Fusion 360 is the only Autodesk app I have. I was wondering if it was the M1 max chip set?

@mhowey9532V7EL4 @Let me look at our backend database for the reports you sent in. We do have many customers successfully using the M1 but could be other reason for this.

can you please do an uninstall and a reinstall of Fusion 360? I know this is not a typical solution but this could work in this situation.

please use the clean uninstaller in this article to uninstall - https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-t...

@RajkumarIlanchelian, I did the unistall and reinstall the restarted the app and logged in. so far it's not giving me 12-15 errorrs, so maybe this was the fix.

thank you.

@Rajkumar.ilanchelian, unfortunately I hit the solved button too quickly. After a total uninstall/reinstall Fusion 360 work, but i did not work in the app much yesterday. this morning I launched the app and again received 16 error messages.

any help would be appreciated,

Mike

Hi at all,

same error here.

Bug report window keeps popping up every 5-10 seconds for 10-20 times. Happens when I launch Fusion on my Macbook Pro (M1 Max, macOS 12.2.1, fusion v2.0.12392), but also after a while when I start interacting with the app again, as well as when I want to close it. Even after having force quit Fusion, the windows keep popping up.

Clean reinstallation did not solve the problem.

This not only takes all the fun / motivation when you want to create some cool models, but it also disturbs my workflow on the entire Mac as the windows keep popping up in the foreground.

Cheers from Germany,

Malte

@mhowey9532V7EL4 @j.maltekrueger We are actively looking at this and talking with our engineering team. I will keep updating this tread as we know more and I am asking for a workaround until we can fix a fix for this. We apologize for the experience but we are certainly working to find the right solution.

Can you please confirm if you see this folder?

1. /Users/USER ID/Library/Application Support/Autodesk - Do you see an AdSSO folder?
2. if you do see a folder how many sub folders are there? Can you attach a quick snapshot of the subfolders?

Yes, there's one subfolder (cache) which is empty, see screenshot

Can you please try the below?

1. Close Fusion if it is running (Check in activity monitor)
2. Close any other Autodesk products that you have open
3. Restart your machine (This should not be necessary but I am asking this to avoid any assumptions)
4. Go to  /Users/USER ID/Library/Application Support/Autodesk - Delete the AdSSO folder
5. Go this this Article - https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-for-mac/troubleshooting/caas/simplecontent/content/au...
6. Follow the instructions to install the AdSSO in there
7. now launch Fusion 360

Are you seeing the old experience?

Hey Rajkumar,

that actually solved the problem for me!
Both starting and closing the app doesn't prompt the bug report window anymore.

Thanks for your very quick trouble shooting, didn't quite expect such a fast response after you said "We're on it" 😛

Best wishes from Germany
Cheers,
Malte

@j.maltekrueger Glad this solved the issue for you. This is a workaround with a true fix coming later but this should get you working. Please restart the machine one more and then launch Fusion to see if you are not getting back those errors.

@mhowey9532V7EL4 I am still wondering why this did not work for you. Can you try the whole process once again if you don't mind? If it continues not working, I may have another solution to try out.
