Multi level parts list with electronic assembly

Hello,

I'm doing some assembly documents and am having trouble creating parts lists for assemblies that contain electronics with many subcomponents. The trouble being a "first level" parts list does not show the association parts have with their assemblies, and an "all level" can contain thousands of subcomponents that makes the parts list useless.

I can disable the view of the PCB in the parts list, but I need to show it—a true solution would be being able to not expand certain top level sub assemblies, or having a "second level" option for the parts list.

Does anyone have any workarounds for this problem?
