moving files from teams to personal account

I moved files from my personal account to my team hub, but now want to move them back. I can't seem to find a way of doing this.
What is the best way to move my files back?

Thanks

I cannot fathom a reason you would want to do this.  Using Personal Storage you do not have access to the Insert Fastener command and if you have a Subscription License, you lose Configurations.  If you still want to do it the process is:

From your team hub, open and Export the model files you want to transfer to your hard drive.  You can also do this for your Web Database if desired.  Once you have them all, switch your data storage from your Team Hub to your Single User Storage.  Navigate to the project and folder you want, then select the Upload icon to choose all the files you want to upload.

If you need further help, please ask directly.

@carlJXWM6 when you say "Personal Account" do you mean a Fusion account with a Personal license type, or "Single User Storage" listed under the Data Panel within the Fusion 360 application interface?

If you mean the latter, then @jhackney1972's process is the best workaround, as an official migration path from Team Hubs back to Single User Storage does not exist. This is by design, as Team Hubs are intended to be a replacement for Single User Storage - the naming can be confusing, but you can think of Team Hubs as Single User Storage 2.0.

If your current Team Hub is not owned by you - that is a different story. While it is possible to use Fusion only while utilizing another user's Team Hub (generally by invite), each user is also able to create their own Hub.

Thanks for your responce. Yes, I did mean Single User Storage. I was a bit alarmed that once I selected the transfer to the team hub, there was no warning that it was a one way process, it just started. I only tried the transfer as suggested as a work around to the public share link not working.

I don't yet have a Team and use only Single-User Storage. Since I want Configurations I want to create a Team (I have a payed license). I'm at the screen where you create the Team and it asks what projects to move.  What happens if I don't move any projects? Can I move them later from Single-User Storage to the Team? Is there any reason to move the projects where I don't need fasteners or configurations, and don't have a need to share my designs?

Are there any benefits of Single-User Storage vs. a Team storage? I don't want to create a Team, or especially move any projects before I better understand the impact.

Will Single-User Storage eventually disappear?

Maybe all/most of my questions are already answered? Please point me to relevant documentation if there's a FAQ, blog or similar where this is covered.

This was already announced in 2022 for spring 2023, but has not yet been realised.

I will give my "opinions" using your questions as my guide.  I do not have a single "official" sources to refer you to:

You bring up a huge reason to create a team here.  You want to get the full benefit of your Fusion 360 Subscription with Fasteners and Configurations.  I would guess that there will be future additions to Fusion 360 that require that you use Teams in the future.

I'm at the screen where you create the Team and it asks what projects to move.  What happens if I don't move any projects?

You do not have to move any of your projects, at this time, if you do not what to.  Create your Team account and use it when you desire access to the Fusion 360 commands and features mentioned above.  You can simply create a one new Project in your new Team as a place-holder and move on.  Please remember, the only way to transfer a model from a Team back into Single-User Storage is to download it to your hard drive from Single-User Storage and the Upload it when you switch to a Team based project or model.

Can I move them later from Single-User Storage to the Team? Is there any reason to move the projects where I don't need fasteners or configurations, and don't have a need to share my designs?

You can move your projects at a later date using the utility provided as outline on this webpage.

Are there any benefits of Single-User Storage vs. a Team storage? I don't want to create a Team, or especially move any projects before I better understand the impact.

As stated before, you do not have to move an existing projects to your new Team.  I do believe it is a good idea to use a team for all your storage as this will give you flexibility you have not explored yet.  I am normally a single user but have found teams very beneficial to share models, and other types of files with other users and doing Collaborative Design.  Teams give you the ability to share a lot more than files, it offers model presentation ability to non-Fusion 360 users with a click of a button.

Will Single-User Storage eventually disappear?

As @g-andresen has already commented, Single-User Storage will eventually be retired.  When is the question.

Maybe all/most of my questions are already answered? Please point me to relevant documentation if there's a FAQ, blog or similar where this is covered.

My final comment is that you can easy into using a Team.  I know of two users that currently still use Single-User Storage most of the time and switch to using their Team account when they want to use the new Fasteners routines.  I find this silly but everyone to their own modeling technique.  I switched to Team storage when it was first introduced and have never regretted it, in fact I am supper glad I did.  Once you have a new tool, Teams in this case, you will discover many uses for it that you never dreamed of before.

I feel this way, Single-User Storage is on the Cloud and so are Teams so where you files are stored is no different.  With a Team you have many more possibilities than with Single-User Storage and in my opinion very few is no reasons not migrate as soon as possible.  These are my opinions only, I do not work for Autodesk or speak for others.

Thank you @jhackney1972 for your extensive response; I really appreciate it! I think you convinced me to just move everything to Team storage once I set it up. It's always a little scary when you move or migrate your data (generally, with any software) with the risk that something could get corrupt.

I'm not yet sure if it is related to moving my project from Single User Storage to a Team, but I'm working on a parametric model. Before moving to a Team, updating a specific parameter would take maybe 2 seconds for the design to update. Now when changed one parameter I literally waited for minutes for it to update, and now still sitting here 10+ minutes for another one to update.

I guess I can find out if it is related to the storage, if I export the project and reimport to Single User Storage and see if that makes it fast again.

Edit: After waiting for half an hour I force killed Fusion.
