Moving canvas in timeline shouldn't recalculate model

Hi,

I have a model that deals with some free form lofts that measure 80x50 meters (terrain for a building). This makes recalculating the parts very slow in itself, but that I can deal with.

However, I just attached another canvas and was wondering why the model recalculates when moving it in the timeline, as a canvas doesn't do anything to the model, does it?

Not high on the priority list, but maybe there are other features that don't affect the model which could be moved without recalculation.

Thanks,

Stefan

Hi,

Normally neither the object sizes influence the performance nor a canvas by moving  in the timeline.
1. But maybe you can create a screencast to show the described behaviour.

2. Please share your Design

File > export > save as f3d locally  > attach it to the next post.

Hi Günther,

I've attached the terrain file I'm working with. Try moving the second inserted canvas by one step to the left in the timeline. The model will recalculate, where, in my opinion, there should be no need for that.

Hi,

In your project I can observe the behaviour also .
With others this effect does not occur with me.
