Mouse does not grab handles in move tool correctly

Hello Everyone,

My apologies if this issue has already been addressed, but I could not find anything similar. If so, I would appreciate a link to the corresponding post.

The issue: when I call the move tool, the mouse does not grab the handle that it is hovering over. This started with the may 24 update. If I hover over the X arrow, for example, the Z rotation may (or may not) get activated and used. I have attached a short video to illustrate the problem. So far, I can only search around with the cursor until the necessary handle gets activated and use it in some off-position....

I could not fine anything in the settings to alleviate the problem and all of my HID drivers are up-to-date. I am using a standard 3-button mouse with scroll wheel. System is Windows 10 on a laptop, all of which has never been a problem in the last 3 years.
Best Regards,

Hello g-andresen,

Thanks for the quick reply. I checked, but unfortunately that does not work. (Honestly, I would've felt really stupid if it did :-D). I attached another video to illustrate this. What I do notice is a small discrepancy between the position if the mouse in the screen and on the screenshot, but I don't think it is enough to cause the kind of offset that I am seeing. The problem is best illustrated between second 7 - 8 and at second 13. If I click at the point in space where the handle I want is highlighted, then it works. I 'simply' have to scan the space to find the area where that happens and grab it. This slows every thing down and is very frustrating.

Best Regards,

Hello.

I have the same problem. It doesn't matter if it's a 2D or 3D projection, it's simply not possible to capture the arrow or axis that I want.

I will upload short video also.

I hope someone will come up with a solution, because it is very difficult to work like this.

Check which graphics driver you're using in Fusion's preferences. A few people have reported something like this using the DX9 driver, using Auto seemed to fix the problem.

I have recently started working on new computer, and am experiencing similar issues. When trying to select different grab handles, and when I hover the mouse over a certain handle, a whole different handle is highlighted. I tried switching to DX-9, but that did not change anything.

Help Appreciated,

I think he meant you should opt away from DX9 but use Auto selection or DX 11. I did that and it worked like a charm.

Hi Tapis and Marko,

Many, many thanks! Using DX11 did the trick. Fusion 360 just became a lot more fun again!!
