Motion Link won't take into consideration Resting Position for joints...

I have a motion link between two revolute joints. Each joint has a resting position assigned, so it acts visually as it's spring loaded.
Attaching a motion link to those two joints "breaks" the resting position value and the now linked motions move without jumping back. Not sure if this is a bug (looks like a bug), or intended behavior.
This model was made for the sole purpose of learning, so any question like "why would you want to do this in the first place" will not be answered. So, please if you can help me to understand the limitations of Fusion in this particular situation, or where I did wrong and how this could actually be made to work as intended, it will be much appreciated.
Not sure if contacts sets is a good idea, as I was reading that is actually demanding in terms of computing and the better option is always motion link (unless really needed to use contacts sets).
Attached video will explain better.
Thank you.
