Model reverts to previous position after unsuppress

I'm trying to eliminate interference between gears, so I Suppress the Motion Link, move one of the gears until there is no interference, verify no interference (Inspect/Interference), Capture Position, and then Unsuppress the Motion Link. But when I Unsuppress, the model shifts to a different position and some (or all) of the previous interference returns. Please help!

Please attach your model.  Hard to help without something to look at. If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section of a forum post to attach it.

Nice looking gearbox!  You are using the right commands but you have your sequence off a bit.  Motion links REMEMBER the Capture Position ONLY when they are created.  So if you are suppressing the Motion Link and then using Capture position, it has no effect.  You will have to recreate the motion link to adjust your interference.  I demonstrate this in my Screencast.
