Model goes dark when zoomed in

Dear community,

I've been having this problem for weeks, and it's driving me crazy! When I zoom in on the model (see the video) in the design environment, after a certain point the model gets dark. It's impossible to see details like this. Is this something related to the Fusion's settings or to the machine's performance? In the past nothing like this occurred. I searched the forum and Google but was not able to find any hits or solutions. I would really appreciate the help!

Thank you!

Best,

Luka

Thanks for reporting!
This is not a known issue. Can you please have a try by restoring your Fusion preference?
If it is still reproducible, would you please share below info with us?
1. OS info
2. Graphics card
3. Environment being used in the Design workspace

Thanks for your support!

Dear Lisa,

Sorry for the late reply and thank you for your interest in this problem. I restored my preferences but the problem persists. Regarding other info:

1. Windows 10 Pro

2. Nvidia Quadro M4000 (with latest drivers)

3. Photo booth

Hopefully, the problem can be resolved because it's driving me crazy since working on small details is impossible.

Thank you!

Regards,

Luka

Hi @luka.novinec, thanks for these detailed info!

Can you reproduce with the latest build? And can you reproduce with any design files in your side? If this can be reproduced with some specific designs, is that possible for you to share with us the design files?

Thanks,

-Lisa

Dear Lisa,

Yes, also with the latest build (2.0.17954) it's the same. I tried with different files and on most of them I have the same issue. The models are not mine but were shared with me. I'm attaching another video and model, which was used to capture the video. Maybe you can check if it's something related to the model. Thank you!

Regards,

Luka

@luka.novinec Thank you for sharing more info and dataset!

I tried in my side with the same Fusion build, but with a NVIDIA Quadro P2200 GPU, the problem could not be reproduced.

Can you also share your system model? And if switching to another Environment can help for such case?

Thanks for your support!

I get this issue, too.

It also prevents me from working effectively. It only happens on some components. Turning off origin plane and work plane visibility does not affect it. I can't figure out any rhyme or reason!

Build:  2.0.20981 x86_64

Windows 11 Pro version 24H2 build 26100.2605.

GPU:  Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti Super 16 GB RAM.

GPU driver version:  566.14

Did you ever find a solution?  My Fusion has done this for a while and I thought it was normal until I saw my coworkers not have this issue.  We all have similar/same laptops.

Hi,

Unfortunately, I cannot tell if I find any particular solution. It's true that it didn't happen to me for some time now. But it's also true that also in the past I didn't observe this in every model. It may come back but hopefully not. Sorry that I cannot help you.

Best,

L
