Missing drag arrows on extrude

Hello,  

I am missing my drag arrows on my extrude feature. I saw someone who had a similar problem, and they used the clean uninstall procedure and reinstalled the program and that seemed to do the trick. However I have tried doing that and it did not work on my end.

it could be model-specific - something weird in the profile the positions the manipulators off screen, for instance.  Can you share the model, and a screencast of what you are seeing here?
