Missing angle in Circular Pattern under Sketch

When I was going to use the Circular Pattern in Sketch, I've chosen Angle as Type, but there is no way for me to enter the angle. Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug?

I'm using Fusion 360 for Mac on High Sierra.

Hi @pilotwarezhk01

Thanks for posting! I tested this on my Mac (10.13.3) and my PC (Windows 10) and found that I could recreate this issue. I did find that certain workflow orders worked to show the angle field, while other selection ordering did not. This issue has already been logged by our development team (FUS-34458) and is currently being investigated - we appreciate you bringing this problem to our attention.

While this problem is addressed, you can work around this issue by using a specific order of operations when creating a circular pattern:

  1. Select the sketch geometry to be patterned.
  2. Enter the circular pattern tool (under Sketch).
  3. Select the centerpoint for the pattern.
  4. Change the Type to Angle.

The total angle should now be shown. I've shown an example of a working order of operations and a non-working order below - I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions.

This bug just came up for me as well.  It worked fine earlier today and then just stopped.

I just noticed something interesting.  What's going on is the window for the command isn't resizing for the option change but a scroll bar is off to the side.

hello ,

Today i had the same troubles with it, particularly  as regard of course exercise , I couldn't modify the arm of the lamp. I wouldn't say selection does work at all, just one out two time I used to circle click .

so I will try the tutorial above.

thank you .

Regards.

same thing happened to me today.  Can't enter an angle.  Although the field says angle, it's actually the number of copies in 360.

Select in this order and you should not see the issue.

1. Select the Objects to pattern (not Type >Angle).

2. Select the Center Point (not Type>Angle).

3. Now select Type>Angle

If that still doesn't work for you then create Screencast recording showing your Steps 1-3.

(Alternatively, if you started with Type>Angle out of order in Step 1 or 2 rather than as instructed above, after doing Steps 1 & 2 go back to Type, select one of the other types and then back again and select Angle.)

So if you follow steps 1-3 in order - that should be fewest number of clicks.

ok thanks, that actually works.  If I mess up the order, it seems that selecting full, and then selecting angle will get the angle to work.  I misunderstood the staff instructions that was posted above, but it seems to be the same as yours. Sorry.

I can confirm that the angle value still disappears for no apparent reason, and that using the selection sequence indicated in message 7 above is a valid workaround.
