Mirror component issue

Anonymous
Not applicable

I made a component which contains a rectangular array of bodies,  I performed "split body", and removed one body.

Then, after mirroring, this seems to work.

However, if I press "compute all", the mirror seems to fail because the removed body is re-appearing on the mirror component.

If you do not want to change the parameter that creates the extra board, the easiest solution is to do you mirror and then just Remove the two extra bodies created by the mirror.  Since you are patterning bodies this is easy, if it was a component then it would be a little more difficult.  Modified model is attached.

Dear @jhackney1972 , thanks for the suggestion.

The fact that you have to select objects makes this solution a manual operation, I like to aim for a fully parametric solution.  How can this be achieved?

(Note: for me, this simple model is a learning experience, but I see more complex assemblies will end up very messy if parametric models have to rely on object selection)

For example, if I double the "Height" parameter, I have to re-select and delete the top panels manually again.  In other words, the automation fails.

Is it possible to perform the "cut" operation and do something as "remove all material and bodies above the cutting plane"?

That would make this solution work for any given parameter value.
