Midplane tool creating plane outside of references planes (not in the middle)

When I use the midplane tool, the plane that is created is not in the middle of the two planes that I am referencing.

Also worth noting that depending on the sequence in which I select the reference planes, the new plane (red arrow) will appear outside on the left or outside on the right. 
This happens in both the Form mode and Direct Edit mode. It may also occur in other modes but haven't tried them.

Yes, there is an internal defect(FUS-113975) to track this problem. Appreciated if you can provided some sample models with this problem. It will help our development team to investigate the problem and fix it.
