Meshing multiple surfaces no longer supported?

Hello, I just realized that meshing multiple surfaces seems to be no longer possible. Whenever I select multiple surfaces and go to meshing, the selection is reduced to one surface. If this is the case, preparation of grouped CFD surface meshes is getting drastically more complicated, as (as far as I know) grouping of STLs is no longer connected to the BRep surface groups. Is there a new way of grouping surface meshes with respect to the previous BRep surface grouping? I am well aware that Fusion comes at a low price, but changing basic functionality like this without considering the problems that come along is highly questionable in my opinion.

Hi,

To be clear. You are referring only to the workflow of converting Brep to Mesh?

I ask because I've raised a ticket for your complaint here and want to be sure it has captured all your issues.

Thanks,

Hi Phil, Thanks for your reply. Firstly, yes I was referring to converting BRep to Mesh only. Secondly, I think I found a workflow to obtain the equivalent results that I used to get with meshing multiple surfaces at once: Mesh the (one) volume body, do not generate face groups and split the mesh using "all face groups". As far as I have seen, this gives mesh bodies based on the BRep faces of the volume body. Maybe development can confirm this? For now, I am happy with this workaround. If this was done on purpose, a clearer communication would have been nice. This is almost like working with open-source software, except that the source is not open and you pay for the license. 😉

Best Regards,

Daniel

Thanks for bringing this up. It was not an intentional change and the team is working on correcting it. No ETA is available for a fix.

Hello, I did not understand how to convert multiple mesh bodies in one click. Previously it was possible, now not. I have a model with more then 1000 mesh bodies. I can not convert mesh by mesh.

Can somebody help me, please?

Thanks
