Mesh to Solid Issues

Hey,

I am trying to convert a mesh .stl file into a solid to edit for 3D printing but generating face groups to convert it is not working. I generated the file in a separate program so I am assuming that is the problem but if anyone has any ideas on how to help I would be very grateful! My final goal would be to split it in half and extrude a circle to fit it on a dowel so I am guessing that to do that I would have to make it solid first.

The problem is your mesh body has holes in it.  Left click on the yellow "!" and choose Close Holes.  From there it should not give you any issues.  I attached my conversion to solid if you would like it.
