Mesh Sketches not Aligned to Global Environment

I am trying to build a model of off a scanned mesh. I have aligned the mesh to the origin and started building planes (using the 3 point tool) and mesh section sketches. However, I have noticed that the section sketch planes are adopting orientations that are not aligned to each other or the global environment. Obviously the sketch plane itself may not be aligned when it is at a relative angle, but the other two dimensions also aren't aligned to the global environment either. In the picture below, I created a sketch from one of the created planes and you can see that it is not aligned to the X-Y axes of the overall model that are also visible.

Is there a way to align the axes of the sketch itself to the origin? Thanks!

No.

Set the mesh section parallel to document origin.  Use the supplied triad for position.

3 point planes is just trouble with capital T.

Ok, when you say to set the mesh section parallel to the document origin - is that something that I do when creating the mesh section sketch?

Yes,

when starting it asks for which body,

wherever you click on the body, it creates the section on that selected point,

you have the move triad, to move to where needed, use arrows to keep the parallel function, or rotates handles to roll off parallel.
