Measuring in Section Analysis

Is there any way to perform a Measure (on sections) while in a Section Analysis? What I mean is on the faces that are part of the sectional area.

Thanks

Can you File >Export and then Attach your *.f3d file here?

@iotPZF5K - no, it is not possible to measure from any pseudo-edges created from a Section Analysis plane and the model.  The best way to do this is to create a sketch plane, and use Project -> Intersect to generate those curves, and measure those (or create a driven dimension)

@jeff_strater: Could you please describe "Project -> Intersect" a bit more detailed? Or post a screencast?

I´ve had this problem many times, but couldn´t find any way to intersect body and plane. Marking any surface of the "handle" doesn´t project all the outlines of the slice area.

Thanks...

here is a screencast showing what I had in mind.  Just make sure that the Intersect type is set to Bodies, so that you get the intersection between the sketch plane and the selected bodies.  The screencast shows that the driven dimension will update if the sketch plane is moved

That's a great walk-through Jeff.  Thanks for doing that!  If anyone from Autodesk is "listening" - this would be a great feature to add!  Measuring elements of a cross-sectional view would be VERY helpful!
