measure between 2 points not working, seemingly random measurements

trying to measure from a hole centre to another hole centre line to get a measurement needed to design the next part but its behaving randomly and i have no idea why. thanks

Specifically how is it randomly measuring? Are you using snap points in the measure command?

sometimes in models with lots of parts using the measure function will cause random measurements that have nothing to do with 1 or 2 points

It's not clear to me what is going on, but thanks for sharing the model and video.

 

While we're figuring this out, you can achieve the measurement by adding a construction axis to the cylinder. This should not be necessary, but it happens to help in this case.

Thanks, its supposed to be a fold flat ramp, the geometry should make it rise and fall in a linear controlled way until the uprights are at 180 degrees. Havent put any locking detail in yet. Keep not being able to move it up or down at all despite adding motion links and im reasonably sure of the maths.
