make a better use of space on dialog boxes

I wanted to ask this since a long time. It's so obvious and easy to correct for me that I expected some Fusion 360 dev would correct this spontaneously sooner than later. Well...
See uploaded picture, it's a capture of a "Loft" feature dialog.

Is there a way to make a better use of the space without trimming text, etc ?

Thanks.

Steve

When using  lofts between edges of faces (for example) , that space is occupied by other options (Tangency/ Continuity. Free edges/ Align to edges/Align to surface).

We all know that, and... ?
Is this the excuse for not improving those easy-to-correct display issues for a better UI experience ?

No, of course it isn't, but if you provide an example, then make sure it actually holds up to some scrutiny 😉

I find this particular problem not really that much of a problem.

Well, I find this annoying. The file location I want to save to is called "Ready to send sand mold" and this is what I see, there is PLENTY of room for the entire name.

I find this annoying:

Trying to enter a formula into the non-expanding dimension field:

It's not only the "loft" dialog which I took as an example, many dialogs would benefit for some better disposal of the controls and text.

But yeah, I agree, it's not critical. Just that, a dev could spend one Friday afternoon per month to revisit some minor issues.

Still, devs do an amazing job to provide us this tool, it flows so easily under our fingers that when something goes wrong the frustration is just as high as the fun we have using it. The better it is, the more we expect from it 😉

While I'm on this, I feel that reliability and performance have significantly improved since 3-4 months. Is it real or am I being less demanding ?

Thanks !

The issue in many UI field is that there appears to be lack of attention to detail in implementation:

For example, even when these options are visible, space isn't used as efficiently as it could be and stuff is truncated for no apparent reasons.

The Profile 1 lines shows the full text of "Curvature (G2)" despite the "Free Edges" option being also displayed.

The Profile 2 line truncates the "Connected (G0)" text but has a lot of white space left to the right.

There are also a good number of inconsistencies in Fusion 360's UI elements. Some UI windows acne be widened by pulling on window corners, e.g. The loft dialogue an be expanded:

Others on the other hand cannot be expanded and just truncate text. I don't have any of those handy right now but will come back if this thread grows.

Hopefully it does, but it only helps if we provide good examples. If we can keep the tone respectful, "they" might actually listen 😉

Thanks for the support 😉

Maybe we can veer off into other UI issues.

Another annoyance to me is the redundant "Notifications". After exporting my step file to my computer, I get a popup window telling me that my export is ready to view, so not wanting to "view" it I click the X to make the window go away, then a second later I get the green dot in the "Notification Center" and I have to click on the notification center and again click an X to make the notification go away again.

We only need one notification or the other, not both. Also a tick box to block notifications of exports/imports would be nice since I already know that I imported/exported something.
