Ok so. When I clicled the save button the program just failed. When I opened the program. The program just gave me the old recovery document. The document I finished and inteded to save completely disappeared.

Not sure how to edit the topic so I can only reply!

Thank you for sending your error report CER_186981336 to Autodesk.

Right now I can only add an additional error code.

The original report I did send, but I do not have the error code itself.

This one I just started the project again. Still in the midst of working the Fusion 360 app just decided to shut down by itself. The first one was started from a recovery document. The project was worked on the new untitled file.

The second error report was started new. I did receive the recovery document after the second error report.

It just seems like the certain projects just operate better with constant saving. Most of the errors seem to happen during saving of the file, and maybe during the recover save. That seems fitting for the forum.

Hi @Anonymous,

Would you be willing to share the file with me?

How large is this file? Am I right in guessing that it's pretty big or it has a lot going on?

I need to verify if you are talking about the model file or the error file.

I have no idea why you would need the model file since I started it over anyway.

And it is currently in the Gallery.

I understand that there is no history for such files. Let me know.

The file in mention:

The file in the Gallery has history.

I don't understand what is wrong with people on this forum. The official posters make wierd questions.

I have a question how do you not do what you are paid to do?

And the users that just answer some part of the question that is completely irrelevant and useless. As information.

@karina.harper just needa the model, apparently. What I do is completely irrelevant to anyone here.

I seriously don't care if there is history in the gallery objects. Besides if I load an already created model file and upload there would not be history. Or if I just create a file without history.

Hi @Anonymous!

Thanks for posting your model. Smiley Happy  It's really important for our troubleshooting to get models as well as error reports so we can diagnose the issue.

I took a look, and it appears that you might need to update your graphics card as it hasn't been updated since 2016 (this information is provided in your crash report). Here is a link to the Radeon website with a guide to update your driver.

If this still doesn't work, try changing your driver in Fusion to DX9 : Here is a link on how to do that.

Please let me know if that solved your problem or if you need more help!

Ok. Right now I am going to try step 2. And change the driver version to DX9.

I was looking for graphics settings and already have set the comfortable ones that help performance. I don't really need to rely on quality here. But, based on current usage time I noticed the problems of having to find hidden edges in the geometry. Most of that comes from intersecting lines in sketches.

There's a lot to go by. And since the app crashes often I am forced to skip steps.

Besides all that I do think that I might need to make a performance exception for Norton Security settings as well to see if that helps further.

My biggest problem seems to follow a pattern. And I do think that it's the recovery auto save that is the main cause. I can not disable it. As I see it. And still have an issue that makes the scientific decimal measurements get lost and shift somehow. I can't even tell if it's my error or the app.

Can't really update the driver because it's set up to support other things. At least this might make it easier to continue.

Also I am using the app to replace the 123d design. Since that app is no longer available. I know that there are more convenient Autodesk apps for this anyway. But I just need something small and simple to use. Most of the work I do was in Alias Design. I just don't want to get into that right now.

Hey @karina.harper, good news the app still crashes. Despite me working with the applied DX9 fix.

Besides, why should I care about the latest drivers. The math it's still the same.

Hi @Anonymous

We're looking into the driver errors. There are some indications that there's issues here but we're not exactly sure what is causing it yet. The best thing we can do right now is ask you to send in your crash reports. I don't see any new ones from you from this month.

I also did check the drivers after a certain problem occurred. And they seem to be up to date. I don't have any new error reports right now anyway. becauce I'm taking time of the Fusion 360 app right now.

Hey @Anonymous

I'm interested to see your log files if updating your driver didn't work. If you want, you could collect them and post them here and I can comb through them.
